After 20 years in the computer industry, she established her Westborough, MA, studio, Quicksilverglass.com, in 2004. Three kilns heat her studio, formerly a garage, under her master bedroom. Her husband jokes that during the fall, the heat hardly comes on in the house. Nan crafts kilnformed art glass in single layered organic or classic forms, and sandblasts it for an ethereal quality.

Inspired by a 3-hour “how to weave a scarf” class in the fall of 2007, Jessica has been weaving happily ever since. Her primary loom is the rigid heddle, and one of her favorite parts of weaving is putting different colors and textures together to see what happens. In 2019 she discovered needle felting and finds it to be an excellent new way to play with more fibers and colors. Jessica creates needle-felted wool smallscapes on a variety of topics.
