Snapology Summer Program: Mining & Building Basics + Animation Studio

Full Day and Half Day Options Available

Program Details
 Location: Fivesparks, Harvard, MA
 Dates: Monday, July 27 – Friday, July 31, 2026
 Full Day: 9:00am–3:30pm (Ages 6–12)
 Half Day Morning: 9:00am–12:00pm (Ages 5–12)
 Half Day Afternoon: 12:30pm–3:30pm (Ages 6–12)
 What to Bring: Nut-free snack, nut-free lunch (full day only), and water bottle
Students will enjoy supervised active indoor or outdoor movement breaks throughout the day to stay focused, energized, and creative.

 MORNING SESSION
Mining & Building Basics
Ages 5–12
Hey gamers—are you ready to travel all the way to The End with Snapology? In this Minecraft®-inspired program, students bring the game off the screen and into the real world using LEGO® bricks. Students will design their own imaginative worlds filled with mobs, animals, buildings, and even their own LEGO® Minecraft® character as they go on creative building adventures.

Students will take on design and navigation challenges that encourage teamwork, creativity, and confidence. Sharing their builds helps students grow more comfortable presenting their ideas in front of peers in a fun, low-pressure environment.

 AFTERNOON SESSION
Animation Studio
Ages 6–12
Who doesn’t love an action-packed animated movie that brings favorite toys to life? In Snapology’s Animation Studio, students become filmmakers! Working in teams, students will learn the fundamentals of stop-motion animation and create their own animated movie starring LEGO® mini-figures. Full-day students may even use their morning Minecraft-inspired builds as movie sets or characters.
Students will experience the full movie-making process—from story planning and set design to filming and editing. Best of all, completed films are uploaded to Snapology’s YouTube channel so families can enjoy them for years to come.

Through structured, supportive lessons, students will practice using animation software, develop storytelling skills, and collaborate closely with partners to bring their creative visions to life.
