SUMMARY:Snapology: Science of Slime
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a fun\, hands-on dive into kid-friendly chemistry! In this Science of Slime workshop\, students will explore the science behind slime by mixing safe\, non-toxic ingredients and discovering how polymers form through chemical reactions. This is more than just slime-making — it’s real science in action. \nYoung scientists will practice safe experimentation\, make predictions\, test ingredient variations\, and observe how different mixtures change texture and behavior. Along the way\, they’ll build foundational chemistry knowledge\, strengthen observational skills\, and learn how to think and work like a scientist — all while creating their own custom slime to explore and enjoy. \n📍 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Instructions \nThe workshop will take place inside The Cove at Fivesparks (downstairs and to the left). SUMMARY:Snapology School Half Day Program: Planes\, Trains & Automobiles - Steam Trains Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Snapology Planes\, Trains & Automobiles: Steam Trains Workshop\nIn this exciting hands-on workshop\, students will explore the fascinating world of steam-powered locomotives. Using LEGO® bricks\, children will build their own models of steam engines while learning how these machines worked and why they were so important in shaping transportation history. Students will also discover how modern electric trains have evolved from early steam technology. \nThroughout the workshop\, children will:\n• Explore Physics Concepts – Learn about energy\, wheels and axles\, and simple machines\, in an accessible way as they design and test their builds.\n• Strengthen Presentation Skills – Share their creations with peers in a supportive\, low-pressure environment that builds confidence and communication skills.\n• Practice Teamwork – Collaborate with partners and small groups\, plan builds together\, and learn to listen respectfully and contribute ideas just like real engineers.\nThis workshop is perfect for young builders who love vehicles\, engineering\, and discovering how things move! \n Drop-Off & Pick-Up Instructions\nThe workshop will take place inside The Gallery at Fivesparks (on the main floor in the back).\nFor safety and to help protect the art exhibits upstairs: Caregivers must sign children in and out directly from the classroom. Please come to The Gallery at pickup so we can dismiss your child safely. \n Lunch & Snacks\nPlease pack: A nut-free lunch\, Two nut-free snacks\, A water bottle\nWe’ll have dedicated snack and lunch breaks throughout the day. \nThis school half-day workshop is appropriate for kids ages 5-12.  $70/participant \nClick HERE to register for this workshop. \n_____________________________________________________________________ \nSnapology is the premier partner for STEAM programs worldwide. SUMMARY:Snapology: Winter Themed Holiday Robotics - Polar Express
DESCRIPTION:In our Winter Holiday Robotics program\, your builder will explore the basics of robotics while building some really fantastic robots inspired by different holiday traditions! While working with a partner to complete the building instructions and debug their robot’s program\, your student will be taught how different mechanical components work in their robots and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with creative building activities and information about the traditions that make winter such a special time of year! \nWith each new model\, students will be given a program to operate their robotic build. They will learn how to read the program code and then fix an error to make the code useable. By fixing errors in a broken program code\, students will learn how to debug and modify their programs quickly. Whether making their build respond to various sensors\, adding loops and fun sounds\, or modifying variables\, children will learn valuable programming skills through the Scratch-based coding platform. \nThis workshops is appropriate for kids aged 7-12 years. \nWednesday\, November 26th. 9am-3pm.  $110/registrant \nClick HERE to register for Winter Themed Holiday Robotics – Polar Express with Snapology of Harvard\, MA \n_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nSnapology is the premier partner for STEAM programs worldwide. SUMMARY:Snapology: Animation Studio Class Series
DESCRIPTION:Animation Studio with Snapology (Ages 6-14):\nIn Snapology’s Animation Studio\, students will create fantastic movies with stop motion animation using LEGO® bricks. Children will work in teams under guided instruction to make a digital movie using stop motion techniques. Teams will go through the entire movie making process\, from plot and character planning to editing. The best part is\, their video will be uploaded to Snapology’s YouTube channel\, so they can show friends and family their very own video! \nStudents will gain hands-on experience with computer-based movie-making software\, learning to create\, edit\, and add sounds and music while becoming comfortable navigating computer menus and applications. They will also develop original stories and characters through guided instruction in story and character development\, skills that not only enhance their films but also strengthen their storytelling abilities in the classroom. Just like professional filmmakers\, students practice teamwork by collaborating on group planning\, sharing ideas\, and respecting their partners’ contributions to bring their creative visions to life. \nFour Saturdays in November (1st\, 8th\, 15th\, 22nd). 10:30am-12:00pm \n$150 per participant  \nTo register for this class series\, please click HERE.  \n_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nSnapology is the premier partner for STEAM programs worldwide. SUMMARY:Snapology: School Half Day - Mining & Building
DESCRIPTION:Hey gamers\, are you ready to travel all the way to The End with Snapology? Join us as we bring the game of Minecraft® out of the computer and into the real-world using LEGO® bricks. In this program\, you will go on adventures using your imagination and even design your own worlds\, full of mobs\, animals\, buildings\, and your very own LEGO® Minecraft® character. \nBuilding a sturdy\, reliable structure is a fundamental aspect of engineering. In this program\, students will explore different methods for creating a model that is both strong and functional. As they face building challenges when testing their designs\, they will be positively encouraged to think critically and use teamwork to solve engineering problems. \nThis workshops is appropriate for kids aged 5-12 years. \nThursday\, November 20th. 1-4pm (School half-day).  $60/registrant \nClick HERE to register for Mining & Building with Snapology of Harvard\, MA \n_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nSnapology is the premier partner for STEAM programs worldwide.
