OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY TO AUDITION AT FIVESPARKS THEATER
Fivesparks Theater of Harvard, MA announces auditions for its next production, Outer Critics Circle Award winner, Other People’s Money, by Jerry Sterner.
Audition dates are Sunday, August 16 and Tuesday, August 18 at 7 PM, with possible callbacks on Monday, August 24 at 7. First read-through is currently scheduled for Sunday, August 30 at 7.
Directed by Adam Conn, the play will be performed November 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22. Sunday shows are afternoon matinees. Auditions will be held at Fivesparks, 7 Fairbank Street, Harvard MA. Sides will be provided. Rehearsals will be about 3 times a week, days TBD once the play is cast.

Character Descriptions:
Andrew “Jorgy” Jorgenson: 60-70, principled, old-school Chairman, New England Wire & Cable
Lawrence Garfinkle: mid-30s-40s, charismatic, cunning, overweight corporate takeover artist from the Bronx
Kate Sullivan: early–mid-30s, tough, strategically sharp Wall Street attorney
Bea Sullivan: early 60s, longtime assistant to, and emotional anchor for, Jorgy; Kate’s mother
William “Bill” Coles: early 40s – mid-50s, polished President, New England Wire and Cable
Other People’s Money focuses on the back-and-forth strategies and battles being waged over Garfinkle’s plans for a hostile takeover of the 70-year-old New England Wire & Cable Company, headed by Jorgy Jorgenson. Jorgy hires his assistant’s daughter, Kate Sullivan, to fight off the attempt. The acclaimed 1991 movie starred Gregory Peck, Danny DeVito, Penelope Ann Miller, Piper Laurie and Dean Jones.
