DESCRIPTION:Join Miss Lisa for a fun\, hands-on slime club where kids will learn how to make a different type of slime each week! \nParticipants will mix their own slime and customize it with fun add-ins like glitter\, sequins\, and foam beads. SUMMARY:Adult Improv Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Improv is the act of making up a scene\, plot\, characters and dialogue spontaneously without preparation. Actors work together to create a scene\, often based off a suggestion from the audience\, without rehearsal or discussion beforehand. Studying improv involves a “retraining” of the brain to learn to work in the moment\, accept ideas from a team member and allow the creativity to flow and create something marvelous. Because improv is done “in the moment” it often takes a silly or wacky turn\, and there’s plenty of laughing! When you create improv scenes\, you never know where the mind will take you. This improvisation workshop is designed to challenge and inspire participants to stretch their brains and limits. A great class for both the seasoned performer and those new to the world of theatre who are looking to try it out. \n3 workshops will be held. One each in April\, May\, and June (4/20/2026\, 5/18/2026\, & 6/8/2026).  There is no fee for the workshops\, however registration is required. DESCRIPTION:Warm up your winter with this child-friendly spin off of your typical “Paint & Sip.”\nCanvas & Cocoa offers a guided painting class\, paired with an iconic hot cocoa bar for your child to enjoy while creating their masterpiece. Socializing\, sipping hot cocoa\, and learning the basics of acrylic paint on canvas will keep your child looking forward to the next session. \nThere will be 5 Tuesday after-school sessions\, starting March 3 and ending March 31st. Each session will offer a different guided session\, progressively getting more challenging. \nThe 5-session package is $200 per student. All painting supplies and materials and the amazing cocoa bar are included.  \nCome dressed for potential mess- acrylic paint does not come out in the wash! If there are allergies\, or dietary/religious restrictions please notify Meghan Lowe (MLowe@psharvard.org)\, as substitutes can be made accordingly. \nThis workshop is appropriate for children in 2nd grade through 5th grade and will be held at Hildreth Elementary School directly after school. SUMMARY:HES After School Program: Canvas & Cocoa
DESCRIPTION:Warm up your winter with this child-friendly spin off of your typical “Paint & Sip.”\nCanvas & Cocoa offers a guided painting class\, paired with an iconic hot cocoa bar for your child to enjoy while creating their masterpiece. Socializing\, sipping hot cocoa\, and learning the basics of acrylic paint on canvas will keep your child looking forward to the next session. \nThere will be 5 Tuesday after-school sessions\, starting March 3 and ending March 31st. Each session will offer a different guided session\, progressively getting more challenging. \nThe 5-session package is $200 per student. All painting supplies and materials and the amazing cocoa bar are included.  \nCome dressed for potential mess- acrylic paint does not come out in the wash! Young builders will recreate favorite characters in mosaic form\, design imaginative spaceships\, and practice their Master Builder skills through creative challenges inspired by the film. DESCRIPTION:Pastel painting with a focus on local landscape.  \nAnn will go over the basics of her process along with exploring composition\, values\, color and mark-making. DESCRIPTION:Snapology Planes\, Trains & Automobiles: Steam Trains Workshop\nIn this exciting hands-on workshop\, students will explore the fascinating world of steam-powered locomotives. Using LEGO® bricks\, children will build their own models of steam engines while learning how these machines worked and why they were so important in shaping transportation history. Students will also discover how modern electric trains have evolved from early steam technology. \nThroughout the workshop\, children will:\n• Explore Physics Concepts – Learn about energy\, wheels and axles\, and simple machines\, in an accessible way as they design and test their builds.\n• Strengthen Presentation Skills – Share their creations with peers in a supportive\, low-pressure environment that builds confidence and communication skills.\n• Practice Teamwork – Collaborate with partners and small groups\, plan builds together\, and learn to listen respectfully and contribute ideas just like real engineers.\nThis workshop is perfect for young builders who love vehicles\, engineering\, and discovering how things move! \n Drop-Off & Pick-Up Instructions\nThe workshop will take place inside The Gallery at Fivesparks (on the main floor in the back).\nFor safety and to help protect the art exhibits upstairs: Caregivers must sign children in and out directly from the classroom.
