SUMMARY:Free AIR Demo - Anne Swinton - Clay
DESCRIPTION:Come down to the Cove at Fivesparks to chat with clay artist Anne Swinton.  Watch her work magic with clay and fall in love with the end product of her handwork.  \nSaturday\, 12:00-3:00PM \nI’ve had an appreciation of clay since graduating college and taking wheel throwing classes. My artistic awakening\, however\, only started 6 years ago when I began hand-building. Since then\, I’ve grown as a creator and continue to learn more about the possibilities of this exciting medium. I am a slow ceramicist\, and I like it that way! Hand-building allows me to spend more time with each piece – gradually building it to its final form\, then refining with careful attention to the lines and textures. \nAt 3:00 you can stay and enjoy the Artists in Residence Reception\, open to all!

SUMMARY:Free AIR Demo - Elizabeth Noonan - Ceramics
DESCRIPTION:FREE DEMO \nStop by the Cove at Fivesparks to visit with Ceramicist Elizabeth Noonan between 12:00-2:00PM. Chat with her about her creative philosophies\, ask her questions\, or simply watch her work.  \nLiz describes herself as a storyteller and her work as a visual narrative of her surroundings and past. \nUsing clay\, she attempts to create the experience of shared stories\, magic and nature. Her work manifests ephemeral feelings and nostalgia. The fleeting joy of colors that come with short seasons and the yearning we feel for that color once winter has arrived. She is inspired by what she sees and tries to capture that.
