SUMMARY:Artists in Residence (AIR) Program 2026
DESCRIPTION:For what has now become an annual tradition\, Fivesparks is thrilled to invite artists into our historic building for 6 weeks of communal creativity for our Artists in Residence (AIR) Program. We also welcome the public to observe\, visit and interact with artists while they work. \nAIR26 runs from Saturday\, January 17 – Saturday\, February 21\, 2026. The multi-week event will kick off with a reception\, open to all on January 17\, 2-4pm.  \nIn addition to interaction and observation\, all artists will have art to sell\, arranged as the Artists in Residence Exhibition. \nStop in often to see what’s happening: Tuesdays-Fridays 10am-4pm and Saturdays 12-4pm

SUMMARY:Pastel Painting with Ann Gillespie - Winter Session
DESCRIPTION:Pastel painting with a focus on local landscape.  \nAnn will go over the basics of her process along with exploring composition\, values\, color and mark-making. SUMMARY:Snapology School Half Day Program: Planes\, Trains & Automobiles - Steam Trains Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Snapology Planes\, Trains & Automobiles: Steam Trains Workshop\nIn this exciting hands-on workshop\, students will explore the fascinating world of steam-powered locomotives. Using LEGO® bricks\, children will build their own models of steam engines while learning how these machines worked and why they were so important in shaping transportation history. Students will also discover how modern electric trains have evolved from early steam technology. \nThroughout the workshop\, children will:\n• Explore Physics Concepts – Learn about energy\, wheels and axles\, and simple machines\, in an accessible way as they design and test their builds.\n• Strengthen Presentation Skills – Share their creations with peers in a supportive\, low-pressure environment that builds confidence and communication skills.\n• Practice Teamwork – Collaborate with partners and small groups\, plan builds together\, and learn to listen respectfully and contribute ideas just like real engineers.\nThis workshop is perfect for young builders who love vehicles\, engineering\, and discovering how things move! \n Drop-Off & Pick-Up Instructions\nThe workshop will take place inside The Gallery at Fivesparks (on the main floor in the back).\nFor safety and to help protect the art exhibits upstairs: Caregivers must sign children in and out directly from the classroom.
